Zoey Warwick left a loveless marriage that had her feeling bad about herself, in search of the love of her life. As she went back to her roots, she found a treasure within the unexpected. When she met a man that may be able to make her dreams come true, she doubts his reasons and herself. Is love really a very illusory concept ? Or is out there for everyone?

Declay Murphy was handsome, rich and mysterious. He usually got what he wanted, and he had never let it slipped away before. Zoey is everything he needs, and didn't even know he wanted. When danger came, taking her away, he knew he only had one chance at happiness. Will she be the one to comprehend his folly and accept him with his quirks? Or will she be another great deception?

The Englishman's Folly had an interesting plot with a couple nice twists. The romance was sweet and the love scenes were good. The story was believable, and felt real. My one big hang-up with it, was that I have disliked the heroine almost from the beginning, and I wasn't able to relate or connect with her.

Zoey spends a big part of the book complaining about how her ex-husband was selfish, but not once she tries to talk to him about it during their relationship. It was clear he had a medical problem, but she didn't try to understand him at all.  I'm not against divorce, but I don't believe that any relationship fails because of only one side, and for my eyes her own mistakes were clear, and it annoyed me, that she didn't stand up for her own actions, blaming her ex for everything.

Ms. St. Brice's ideas were original, and the little quirk she has created for Declan was interesting and very self-explanatory. The treasure found by Zoey was another fun twist thrown by the author and the conflict at the end was unexpected.

You may read this book, because you enjoy sweet romances; you should read this book, because you like a fast read; but you MUST read this book, if you want some happily-ever-after!

" I've always believed love couldn't be real if it happened too fast," (...) "Your heart called to mine, I answered, and there was no turning back. Even if you fought me all the way, I didn't give."

***Author's Note: This is a dark romance novel with mature themes that might make some readers uncomfortable.***

Have you ever watched Dexter? Do you like it? If you do, dig in!

Kat is a shy girl, working on a library, while trying to finish her studies. One day, trying to prove her best-friend wrong, she kisses a man she has never seen before in an elevator. Her daring of moment, may prove more reckless than she has ever dreamed about.
"This wasn't what I'd signed up for. Nancy Drew had walked into the last chapter of a Stephen King novel, and she was getting the hell out of there."
"I wanted a hero who would push me to the edge of insanity, a man who would make me feel."

Gav is a rich guy that seems harmless enough. In fact, he looks like prince charming, but looks can be deceiving. Gav is definitely nobody's hero.
"Sometimes the world makes itself just right. The wind blows a certain way. People walk with puppet strings attached to their limbs, and I feel like the puppet master."
" A character in a book might live forever, as long as there was someone there to read him and remember him."

His is a fast-paced thriller, with multi-dimensional characters that made this book into an amazing emotional roller-coaster. Both main characters, are complicated, deep and twisted. Each with their own issues and each finding what they were not looking for.

Ms. Dark is a great storyteller. She has created a very cohesive plot, with a few sub-plots and several twists along the way. This book is very original and as crazy as it may sound, everything feels very real and believable.  I will definitely be on the look out for more from this new side of Ms. Rose.

I don't know what it says about me as a reader, but I've only found His mildly dark, surely not as dark as I was expecting. Nonetheless, this book has what every good dark novel should have: characters and actions, that even though are totally outside of the "normal" standards of moral beliefs, have the reader blurring the lines of good and bad, right and wrong and enjoying it.

You may read this book, because you enjoy a dark romance; you should read this book, because you like to be surprised; you MUST read this book if you are not afraid of being punched in the face and liking it!

"The silence between us was so intimate. I wanted to lean forward and kiss him, hug him, pull him into my arms and tell him that it would be alright. But there was nothing that would be alright, not with him. Not with me."
"I wanted to turn her flesh red and make her scream. But I wanted to please her at the same time. I wanted to plunge myself into her. I wanted to shatter her and put her back together."

Review: Feeling Lucky

Rating: 3.5 stars

Title: Feeling Lucky

Genre: Erotic Ménage Romance
Source: ARC provided by The Romance Reviews

Feeling Lucky is packed with danger and testosterone. Sexy club, hot guys, stubborn heroine and a crazy murderer! Are you ready to find out who will bend and who will break?

Sam Brown visits a BDSM club to get information for her best friend's new book. Following the rules of the club, she must play it as a sub, and she is given not one, but two Doms that have been previously chosen by her brother. Their chemistry is undeniable, but her murky past and a confrontation at the club, has her given up on the D/s lifestyle.

Noah Wilde and Sidney Powell are tired and restless. They only want to start over, but have given their word to finish a security job at the BDSM club. When a friend asks them to look out for his sister, they don't know how to say no. What they are not expecting is to find the missing piece of their triangle. Will they be able to overcome her past and their present to forge a future together?

Feeling Lucky has good characters, a fun small community and lots of mouth-watering alpha males. The heroine is strong, easy to love and connect with. She is the kick-ass type, which is perfect for this filled-with-male world she lives in.

Ms. Price's ideas are interesting, and her sex scenes are really hot and well described. However there are  a few things that hadn't worked so well in this book. The heroes are hot, but they are confusing Doms. The plot is good, but the BDSM world is weak and full of inconsistencies. The trio makes the almost perfect ménage, but their BDSM relationship is bizarre. At some parts of the story they are in a D/s relationship, then suddenly they are vanilla, and out-of-nowhere their relationship is BDSM again.

You may read this book because you have read  other books of the series, you should read this book because you enjoy hot reads, but you MUST read this book because you like adventure-packed ménage stories!

"I say we try again and see if you aim is as good as Noah's is. So, Sydney, are you feeling lucky?"

Tall, hot and dangerous dragons! Possessive, dominant and tender males! If you enjoy any of these descriptions, you are in for a hot ride!

Jessen Cade is a bit of a rebel. She has grown up with an overbearing father, and a mother that has lost her own personality under the rule of man. Not one to be afraid of the unknown, she will fight for what she wants. Will family bring her down?

Born into a race that has only one true mate in life, he will fight within himself of what is right and what it fate. Will he be able to conquer it all, or is he doomed to fail?

Soulfire introduces a great new world of dragons and humans in a reality full of prejudice and hate. Within this new generation hope of a peaceful future looms ahead, but to achieve that, they must fight first.

Ms. Cross has shown a great vision for an amazing new series. Her characters are multi-dimensional and lovable, and the heat created in this book is intense enough to wet the appetites of the erotic lovers, but not so racy that fans of the tender-love-caring will also have a thrill with it.

You may read this book because you enjoy paranormal romance, you should read this book if you like your reads a bit hot, you must read this book if you want an adventurous fast-paced novel!
"The moment his tongue licked into her mouth, she felt the burning of soulfire - the dragon elixir meant to his one and only mate."
