Breeches, corsets... earls and dukes! Mercy is a tale of love at first sight and of tenacity!

Even though this is book four of a series, I believe it can be read as a stand-alone. I haven't read the first three books of the series, but the author perfectly explains the world setting of the story. I never felt lost while reading the book.

This is my first book by Ms. Clark and I'm very glad I have chosen to read it. I love how the author has taken me into the characters's life journey from their childhood until the present. It's a very clever way to  give characters's life, therefore to make the readers feel as they are friends.

Both Mercy and Sebastian are multi-dimensional characters that are easy to relate, to understand and to love. They are not the usual stereotype for the-lady-and-the-duke characters of historical romance and their differences makes them the perfect couple.

Mercy is a fast-paced read with a great plot, that keeps the reader on the edge of their seats not wanting to let the book go.  It's a fun, it's intense, it's romantic and  it's sexy!

Now, I will definitely read this series from book one. I also will re-read Mercy when the time comes! I adore Baz and I would love to be best-friends with Mercy.

I would recommend this book to all historical readers that enjoys a kick-ass heroine and a to-die-for hero!

"What was that? Right at the end," she asked, and then continued without giving him a chance to answer. "Will that always happen? How often will we make love? Every night?"
